Imagine driving a very cool new car for a distance between 9 to 25 miles, getting out and then into another very cool car for another 9 to 25 mile leg and then repeating the same routine through 23 cars in a two day period.
Welcome to the 2010 NWAPA (Northwest Automotive Press Association) Run to the Sun held recently in western Washington.? After 23 cars and more than 450 miles of smiles, here are our quick impressions of the Cadillac CTS-V Sedan.
also known as the World?s Fastest Production Sedan, the Cadillac CTS-V is nothing short of awesome, but it?s definitely for a driver that wants to push the limits.? Imagine a 556-hp, supercharged V-8 shoehorned into the midsize CTS sedan, which has already proven it?s one of the most impressive driving sedans on the market.? Available with a positive-shifting six-speed automatic, with shift buttons (not paddles) mounted on the rear side of the steering wheel or a tight six-speed manual shifter.? This rear-drive hot rod blisters through a 0 to 60 mph run in a mere 3.9 seconds.? The top track speed is 191 mph with the manual transmission. Wow!? For a car in this class, however, the CTS-V lacks a few important features: rear backup camera, a front passenger assist handle and blind spot warning.?? We also think the Recaro high performance seats are a must-have option. The CTS-V has a base price of $60,720. ?
