NWAPA 2010 Run to the Sun

NWAPA

We may be an old married couple, having recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary, but we just went through the automotive equivalent of speed dating.

Imagine driving a very cool new car for a distance between 9 to 25 miles, getting out and then into another very cool car for another 9 to 25 mile leg and then repeating the same routine through 23 cars in a two day period

Welcome to the 2010 NWAPA (Northwest Automotive Press Association) Run to the Sun.? This year, the ?Run? was based at the beautiful and luxurious Tulalip Resort Casino 40 miles north of Seattle, Wash.? We?ve seen a lot of different Indian casinos in our travels, but this one wins the prize for luxurious appointments and friendly staff.

For the first day, our drive route took us north along the beautiful Washington coastline to Camano Island and as far north as Bellingham and back.? The second day we drove into the mountains on Washington?s picturesque Highway 2 to the Wenatchee Forest and then back to Tulalip.

The cars had names like Challenger, Viper, XFR, Evora, Koup and even a SLS AMG.

After 23 cars and more than 450 miles of smiles here?s our automotive speed dating impressions of the cars of the 2010 ?Run to the Sun.?
