Ford Introduces Heritage Editions for Bronco and Bronco Sport

As a tribute to the original 1966 Bronco, for 2023 Ford Motor Company will offer Heritage Edition and Heritage Limited Edition trims on the Bronco two-door, Bronco four-door and the smaller Bronco Sport. For each version the differentiating design elements will include an Oxford White roof, grille and wheels, as well as Bronco script fender graphics inspired by the original model.

The Bronco Heritage Edition will be offered in five colors. At launch the Bronco Heritage Limited Edition will be available exclusively in Robin’s Egg Blue, which is inspired by the Arcadian Blue color available on the original Bronco. Yellowstone Metallic (planned for late 2023) is based on Prairie Yellow paint offered in 1971, and Ford plans to add Peak Blue for the 2024 model year. The Bronco Sport Heritage Edition will be available in seven paint colors including Robin’s Egg Blue, while the Bronco Sport Heritage Limited Edition will also be available in Robin’s Egg Blue, Yellowstone Metallic and Peak Blue.

The 2023 Bronco Heritage Edition features two-tone paint with a Oxford White modular hardtop roof, an Oxford White grille with Race Red Ford lettering, 17-inch aluminum heritage wheels also painted Oxford White, and a bodyside stripe. Based on the Bronco Big Bend trim level, the Bronco Heritage Edition adds Sasquatch fender flares and a powder-coated steel front bumper with built-in recovery points and integrated fog lights.

The 2023 Ford Bronco Heritage Edition is powered by Ford’s 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine producing 300 horsepower and 325-lb-ft of torque, combined with a 7-speed manual transmission or an available 10-speed SelectShift automatic. The Sasquatch Package has High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension 2.0 with long-travel Bilstein position-sensitive shocks as standard equipment, as well as increased ride height, 35-inch Goodyear mud-terrain tires and Dana front and rear locking axles.

The Bronco Heritage Limited Edition gets built on the Badlands trim, powered by a 2.7-liter EcoBoost that produces 330 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque, combined with the 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. The Bronco Heritage Limited Edition can be easily identified thanks to metal Bronco script on the front fenders, as well as leather / vinyl plaid seats with white and Race Red stitching and Heritage Limited console badging inside.

Ford also offers Heritage Editions for the compact 2023 Bronco Sport with the same Oxford White roof in tribute to the original Bronco, as well as other Oxford White elements including the heritage grille with Race Red Bronco lettering, Oxford White 17-inch aluminum heritage wheels and bodyside stripes.

Inside, the 2023 Bronco Sport Heritage includes plaid cloth seats and a Navy Pier instrument panel with Oxford White accents. The cloth seats feature heathered Navy Pier with plaid inserts and Race Red and Robin’s Egg Blue stitching.

The 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Heritage is based on the Big Bend trim, powered by a 1.5-liter EcoBoost that produces 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque; it has an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Bronco Sport Heritage also features increased ride height, tuned front struts, monotube rear shocks and uniquely tuned springs.

The 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Heritage Limited Edition is based on the Badlands trim, powered by a 2.0-liter EcoBoost producing 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque that gets delivered through an 8-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with manual shift mode and paddle shifters. The advanced all-wheel-drive system includes a twin-clutch rear-drive unit with a differential lock.

The 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Heritage will start at $34,245 with Bronco Sport Heritage Limited at $44,655. Bronco Heritage will start at $44,305 with Bronco Heritage Limited at $66,895. The 2023 Bronco Sport Heritage and Heritage Limited Editions are available to order now, with Bronco Heritage and Heritage Limited on sale later this year for current Bronco order holders. Orders will open to all customers next year.
