Up-and-coming Korean automaker Kia has taken the next step as they redesign their entire product lineup. Kia debuted the? all-new 2011 Sportage compact CUV last week at the 2010 New York International Auto Show.
The completely redesigned Sportage offers a more urban look than its predecessor, while maintaining all the functional features and benefits of the last generation of the popular crossover.
In addition to an all-new design look, the 2011 Sportage also offers increased levels of performance and efficiency, comfort and convenience and the latest driver and passenger assistance technologies.
The new 2011 Kia Sportage features a high beltline, sweeping angles and more pronounced wheel flares than its predecessor. The new design projects a modern and clean appearance and Kia hopes the new design will take the Sportage beyond the current generations? basic, reliable appeal.
Available in two trims, LX and EX, Sportage offers numerous standard features. All LX models come standard with air conditioning, power windows, 12-volt power outlets in the front and cargo areas, tilt steering wheel and height-adjustable front seats.
Further increasing the level of refinement, Sportage EX models come standard with a telescoping leather wrapped steering wheel, keyless entry with alarm, a dual zone air conditioner, and a power driver?s seat with lumbar support.
Both trim levels come equipped with an active an active EcoMinder indicator for optimal fuel-efficient driving.
Modern technology features also come standard throughout, including an audio system with SIRIUS Satellite Radio and MP3 capabilities in addition to the usual AM/FM/CD. Also standard on the Sportage is Bluetooth wireless technology to enable hands-free operation for your cell phone.
The 2011 Sportage comes standard with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, offering more power and better fuel economy than the previous 2.7-liter V6 engine. Offered with two-wheel (2WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations paired to either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission, consumers will have a variety of powertrain combinations to fit their driving needs.
Like all Kia vehicles, the 2011 Sportage is equipped with a long list of standard safety equipment, and the Sportage is backed by Kia?s 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, and a five-year/60,000-mile basic warranty.
