The All New 2011 Subaru WRX STI

It?s a good year for Subaru, with increased sales and a bigger chunk of the world market the, Japanese company is experiencing a teen growth spurt.? Like many car manufacturers, Subaru?s roots started in Aircraft.? They have come a long way from those 1917 beginnings.
?For 2011, Subaru offers a redesigned and engineers WRX STI.? This year you will see two body styles on the showroom floor.? A four-door and a five-door STI will have new styling, significantly revised suspension tuning and lighter 18-inch wheels for even sharper handling.??Subaru worked hard to create a solid new chassis that makes the car one the most outstanding in its class.? Painstakingly tests at Germanys N?rburgring racetrack have resulted in the best STI ever.
The guts of the car include a 305-hp turbocharged/intercooled boxer engine teamed up with a 6-speed manual transmission and the Subaru world famous Symmetrical All-wheel Drive system.? Driving assist features include the Subaru Intelligent Drive (SI-Drive) which features a track performance-optimized mode.? After spending some time racing this car on a controlled track, I can tell you this is one of the most exciting features for 2011.
?The exterior is wider and lower projecting an aggressive road presence.? The front fenders are more pronounced and follow through to the rear quarter panels. The new design is not only for a good look, it gives the car better driving dynamics and reduced the drag coefficient. The rear spoiler definitely contributes to stable high-speed handling and the achievement of zero lift. The WRX STI 4-door features its own version of the polished stainless steel quad-tailpipe exhaust, with tailpipe diameter enlarged to three inches.?
?The New interior is finished in silver and black giving a sporty feeling to the occupants.? The standard tilt and telescopic steering wheel is a three-spoke, leather-wrapped design embossed with the STI logo in its center. The wheel features control switches for Bluetooth? hands-free phone function. The STI models are equipped with standard aluminum-alloy pedal covers and driver?s footrest.? Performance-designed front seats integrate the backrest and head restraint into a single structure.? The electroluminescent instrument panel gauges use indicator needles that sweep the gauge faces upon engine startup.
Subaru boasts the most fuel-efficient line-up of all the all-wheel drive products sold in the market today based on Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) fuel economy standards.? All Subaru products are manufactured in zero-landfill production plants, and Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. is the only U.S. automobile production plant to be designated a backyard wildlife habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.
