As the Porsche 911 nears its 50th birthday, author and photographer Randy Leffingwell, revisits the iconic sports car marque from predecessors and prototypes though to the 2010 911 Turbo and everything in between. The title “The Complete Book of Porsche 911: Every Model Since 1964” describes its best.
Leffingwell’s 288-page hardback book even includes all the factory’s racing vehicles, prototypes and special production cars to give an accurate history of the 911. Each individual model is photographically documented and listed with major specifications, top speed and production numbers.
“The Complete Book of Porsche 911: Every Model Since 1964” is published by Motorbooks, a division of Quayside Publishing Group of Minneapolis. The $45 book goes on sale through the publisher at www.motorbooks.com on September 15, 2011 and will be available in stores on October 15.
